Butterfly Koi Gyotaku - Limited Edition Reproduction, Unframed.

This is a limited edition reproduction of a hand made Butterfly Koi Gyotaku. The original print was made with acrylic ink on Thai Mulberry paper. The eye was meticulously painted to match the real thing with iridescent, metallic and standard acrylic paints.

This was a very special print for me, and was commissioned by the fish's owner. "Flash" was washed out of his pond as a result of flooding by Hurricane Helene and unfortunately did not survive. This was a wonderful way for his owner to preserve his memory and the 14 years he blessed them with his beauty.

These reprints are produced with Giclée printers with the highest quality archival paper and pigments ensuring your investment will last many generations. Each print is made to order, hand signed, numbered and marked with my Japanese Hanko (Name Stamp).
